Hawaii-bound geldings

Postby Diamond Girl » Tue Nov 24, 2009 12:49 pm

No band, no peruna, just the geldings.

The band and Peruna won't be going to the Hawaii, but Ewe and Nick will be, if we go to the Aloha Bowl. . .

Mrs. Pickens is spotlighting the mustangs’ plight in a variety of ways, including presenting live mustangs to Southern Methodist University, whose mascot is the mustang. Boone Pickens joked Thursday that SMU had sent him a bill for horse feed. Indeed, he paid it. Mrs. Pickens said Thursday she plans to fly SMU’s mustangs to Hawaii for an upcoming bowl game appearance if the football team makes the trip.

I would imagine that whatever bowl we attend, both Peruna and the Band will be there assuming if Hawaii Peruna is able to fly in a plane for that distance.

I saw this a couple of days before the Marshall game; thought to post it but decided not to. Just didn't want to deal with inevitable drama.

It doesn't say the band is not going or Peruna is not going; it says that TBoone is paying for the two Mustangs to go and that is all. Now, a fair question is what about Peruna, will the school or anyone else, pick up his tab?
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I am sure, going to the first bowl game in 25 yr.s, someone will pick up the tab for the pony and the band.

Doesn't Hawaii have some sort of quarantine on outside animals?

Well, they've been telling us "Peruna's not going anywhere" the whole time, perhaps that's what they really meant.

I still say if we can come up with $150,000 for 200 buses to fill some empty seats, we can come up with a check to send the band. They've been waiting 25 years for this as well.

I think that was just the excuse they gave you so you would stay home.
