Burger wars, re-visitedModerators: PonyPride, SmooPower Re: Burger wars, re-visitedWhen I was up in Dallas for the SFA game, I didn't make it over to sample the new First & 10. Looking forward to that Friday ... and quite possibly Saturday - especially if we win.
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedWorst thing about Saturday game days:
Big 10 (YAWN) football on ESPN and ESPN2. Best thing about today — runner-up: Point burger at 1st & 10. Best thing about today — winner: BEATING TULSA! "Mass genocide is the most exhausting activity one can engage in .... next to soccer."
— "Loki" in the movie Dogma
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedJust ate "Smash Burger" on Beltline in Addison.
It isn't a top burger, but it had a little unique taste that made it worth going to. Might hit it again sometime. Disclaimer: I got it to go, so it cooled a little on the way home. Got chili fries with it..... about Jakes level with a few extra toppings. Also, I couldn't place the face until I left, but I'm pretty sure I saw Bus there. Was that you, Bus? "I think Couchem is right."

Re: Burger wars, re-visitedThey just closed the Burger House across from my office
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedWhat? A Burger House CLOSING? ![]()
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedDoesn't matter. I realize it's an institution around here, but joins Snuffers as the most overrated burger in Dallas.
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedI agree. I'd still like to know which Burger House is closing, though.
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedFranchised BH here in Austin. Don't like it in Dallas and did not like it here
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedSay no more. If it's in Austin, it deserved to die.
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedMaple & Motor. anybody?
Re: Burger wars, re-visited
good burger - nothing great, nothing bad. just a good greasy piece of meat on a buttery bun. done right. freezer fries & tots. Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedTook in SmashBurger on Saturday. Pretty darn good.
A couple of blocks West of the Tollway on Beltline. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Re: Burger wars, re-visited
yes!!
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedFor the record, turkey burgers are not real burgers - even today.
Happy Thanksgiving, PonyFans.
Re: Burger wars, re-visitedThe wife and I went to Maple & Motor yesterday. Overall we both though it was very good. Burger was well done - not sure if they serve all burgers that way, or it was just the way my burger was cooked - they did not ask how I wanted it cooked.
The patty had a nice char on the outside, just enough so it did not have a burnt taste. Bun was very good - nice buttery taste to it. Onion rings were tasty along with the tater tots. "It'd be nice to see Jesse Henderson break one here."
