WTF?
So, generally,I've learned (yay living in D.C.!), there are two camps to this: 1.) The "reasonable camp." If you have any "transgender" kids at a school, then it's reasonable to accommodate them by making one set of bathrooms unisex for anyone to use. 2.) The "militant camp." All bathrooms are discriminatory because they segregate based on gender and could negatively affect people w/ gender identification issues. They need to all be eradicated so we can become a more inclusive, diverse, welcoming society. The more you know!
I guess being "transsexual" is a thing now and we have to accept that. So here's an easy solution- if you have a [deleted], whether you're born with it or you've had gender reassignemnt surgery of whatever it's called, you use the men's room. If you have a vajayjay, whether you're born with it or you've had gender reassignment surgery, you use the women's room. Seems easy enough.

Are they going to start asking for your sexual orientation on college apps now too?

I'm pretty sure they already do, or at least the ask for your demographic information. But I guess at some point you'll have to enter your sexual information otherwise how will they know if you can vote for a certain special interest seat

Update- the LGBT special seat amendment did not pass. 59% voted for it, it needed 2/3

The issue of gender-neutral housing is something I guess they are really passionate about? http://www.gettysburg.edu/about/offices ... l_housing/ Not for romantic couples according to Gettysburg College. Although I did have to look up that huge acronym that they used. LGBTQA I didn't recognize the QA at the end.
They add a new letter to the acronym every five years or so

Let's cram another few letters in there. I mean it only represents 6/26 of the alphabet, and that's clearly discriminatory. Every letter needs to be a part of the acronym!

Also, a "re-vote" seems like BS. There was already a vote and it failed last week. Now they're just trying to suppress turnout to achieve their own desired result.

My side didn't win under the parameters we all agreed on to determine the outcome! I want another bite at the very same apple!

If the rules allow for a petition to get a vote, it seems like they are following the rules.

Yeah, the rule just seems stupid to me. Also, the gender-neutral housing thing is beyond nuts. This country is going down the tubes fast

I cringe to think what those remaining from the Greatest Generation think of us.
