Re: Dallas/Park Cities In-n-Out opens ThursdayHad a double double tonight protein style. I have to say that it was outstanding.
And you gotta love the price. We got four burgers and one fries to go -- no drinks -- and took it back to the house. Cost us $14.

Not sure why that's over the top. Is the bible somehow offensive to you, jt? Anyway, here's a good explanation from our friends at Snopes: http://www.snopes.com/business/alliance/inandout.asp
Re: Dallas/Park Cities In-n-Out opens ThursdayThe bible does not offend me, nor does the Koran or any other spiritual text. But I think such things have their time and place and it is not on the fast food container at mealtime, in my opinion. I know, if it offends me I can just choose not to go....
I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize.
Re: Dallas/Park Cities In-n-Out opens ThursdayI would think once SMU is back in service, it will be a very popular late night snack venue..
GO MUSTANGS!
Re: Dallas/Park Cities In-n-Out opens ThursdayIt should be 'lwjr' from our experinces here in Calif. When they opened near the University of Arizona (Tucson), they had to send one of their trucks in from Los Angeles to assist the restaurant for up to a week or so.
http://hamburgeramerica.blogspot.com/20 ... truck.html BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.
Re: Dallas/Park Cities In-n-Out opens ThursdayI'm telling you, my burger was fantastic. I like the greasy kind, though. Not for the low fat types.
Re: Dallas/Park Cities In-n-Out opens Thursdayhow long did it take you in total with drive through?
Re: Dallas/Park Cities In-n-Out opens ThursdayMy dear wife once again did the drive through for me. She said there was a pretty good line and I think it took her about 20 minutes total in that line.
Re: Dallas/Park Cities In-n-Out opens Thursdaywow, great wife
i'll give it a shot this week
Re: Dallas/Park Cities In-n-Out opens ThursdayYessir, she is. And gorgeous. Don't tell her what kind of deal I've got going.
Re: Dallas/Park Cities In-n-Out opens Thursdaycouldn't resist - drive through was 15 minutes total. Good cheeseburger, fries not so much
Re: Dallas/Park Cities In-n-Out opens ThursdayI'm a low carb guy, so I never do fries or drink. I get two double doubles on lettuce with onion, tomatoes, mustard and bring it back to the house.
I'm hungry.
Re: Dallas/Park Cities In-n-Out opens Thursday
Interesting comment about the fries. My best friend is a California transplant who has been insisting that I have to go to In-and-Out Burger, in large part because the fries are "the best fries ever in the history of the universe." But most of the non-Californians I know who have tried it since it opened up in DFW have been seriously underwhelmed. That, plus the traffic I have seen has made me less than eager to go. 15 minutes in a drive-thru? 20 minutes? Sorry — seems like an awfully long wait for a meal that has had very inconsistent reviews. "It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."
... "Hit it."
Re: Dallas/Park Cities In-n-Out opens ThursdayI got through last night - had a double double [deleted] style and fries [deleted] style.
Certainly not something to crave every week but it was still pretty good. Shake It Off Moody
Re: Dallas/Park Cities In-n-Out opens Thursday
SMUguy That type of wait is typical for a drive thru during peak hours. Or for those of us that have kids, I would pray for ONLY a 20 minute wait at the Chick-Fil-A drive thru GO MUSTANGS!
