Re: Forbes New List of Top US Colleges and Universities
Football brings the visability and PR necessary to attract the interest of more academically high quality students. These student raise the academic quality of the school. Hence, not a bad topic on the football board.

Unless your a University president that believes "those aren't the students we're interested in."

"Sucks"?? An area of expertise for which SMU has become so well known. After all, who could possibly challenge the athletic endeavors of an entire program whose lengthy familiarity with underachievement has now become a byword? Oh, and best of luck with that "rowing"....thingamajig ![]()
Re: Forbes New List of Top US Colleges and Universitiesobviously hit a nerve -
note that there was no attempt to rebut the statement that TCU is a lower tier school (i.e. sucks)
Re: Forbes New List of Top US Colleges and Universities
A definite lack of rebuttal to the fact that the SMU athletics have regressed to a point of being virtually inconsequential. Definition of "Sucks": See SMU's football recruitment efforts. October 1, we'll be waiting. ![]()
