For BBQ try ( I forgot name possibly the Longhorn Bar and Grill ) located at mid block on South side of 43d several doors down from the NASDAQ Market Site TV studio which is on the SE corner of 43d and Broadway (Conde Nast building).

WATCH THE MUSTANGS TAKE ON THE FROGS

Don't miss the chance to cheer on the Mustangs against the TCU Horned Frogs with your fellow New York City alumni! Put on your SMU gear, head over to the Brother Jimmy’s and come get LOUD with us!

Saturday, October 3, Kickoff at 8 p.m.
Brother Jimmy’s Midtown, 416 8th Avenue (At 31st Street)

Food and beverages available for purchase.

Anybody else going to this? Mike and I will be there, the bbq is good and the waitresses are attractive. Although it said "Joint Watch party" in the subject line, so we may encounter frogs

Kicking the idea around of trying to secure at least one flatscreen for the ECU game at either Pat O'Brien's (88th & 2nd) OR Brother Jimmy's (92nd & 3rd) OR the Bullpen (88th & 1st). Having several wingmen in these kind of situations helps. If anyone is interested, let me know

I've secured a TV at Manny's (2nd Ave. betw. 92nd & 93rd) for the ECU game. At least I have a verbal from them, anyway. NYC Stangs come join

Bubba Pony completed the NY Marathon today. Having 2,000,000 people cheering you on is inspiring. Finished about 24000th place. Hey, it was a big field and at least I did it.

This really is a great city. The fans cheered non stop, which means I heard them for over 4 hours. If anyone is ever thinking of doing a Marathon this is the one to do.

anybody crazy enough to go to Times Square News Years Eve tonight? I was there 40 years ago while a sophomore at SMU. Back when it was all porn shops and hookers. Always cold and a mad house. You wait for hours, the ball drops and 15 minutes later the place is empty. Everyone runs to a bar or party in a hotel room. Everyone should do it once.

Times have changed greatly since you took in New Years in Times Square. It is a blast and all the porn, book stores, problems....etc. are long gone. Times Square is exciting, safe and a fun place to be. Guliani cleaned that place up in the 90s with the Marriott Marquee Hotel leading the way for revitalization. If I were still with NASDAQ I would invite you to join me from the 2d floor of the the MarketSite TV studio at 43d and Broadway for a full view of the whole happening.
