Please tell me you are at least drinking Diet Coke
Nope. Gave up soda and booze. Basically trying to quit smoking (figured if I could go no booze, I could go no soda, so why not loose some weight while I am it?).... My plan was to stop drinking so I could quit smoking without then going out for a drink a few days later... and bumming a cigarette. Only it hasn't worked out as planed. I'm still smoking. But I've lost 20 pounds, which is nice.
good job

Thanks bro... it's amazing how much energy I have... and how much longer the weeks feel (in a good way). smupony94 wrote:I was the one that got Punxsutawney Phil to finally come out

Yeah, especially since I am trying to decide when I am going to resume the booze. My pan was to go a month without smoking or drinking before I had a drink of any kind... but yeah.
Ostensibly I gave up booze and soda for lent, so I can resume a week from Sunday if I want to go with that argument.
I used to say I gave up religion for lent.

Maybe the next time the Mustang Band is in Lubbock they can get up with the local yokels and have a group gathering with a musical rendition of "Kum-bah-yah" while holding hands. Then they could bring in Stuart Smalley to remind all the tech fans that "they're 'good' enough, they're 'smart' enough and doggone it people like them" after the Mustang Band tells them that Tech Sucks so tech fans won't get mad and do bad things because they got their feelings hurt.
Like Double T after running head first into a wall, I'm a goner.

Big10's avatar was really cool.
Your old Big10 posts are still out there, but no avatar and you're listed as

Posted: Thu Dec 08, 2005 3:03 pm Post subject: as harsh as it sounds... chris should never be seen under center again in a mustangs jersey, unless its in a victory formation. yes he is very allusive and has some experience, but in now way is he the answer to our qb needs. He has a limited throwing range with minimal accuracy. Yes it may seem that it would be tough for him to switch so late in his career to a TE, but if he wants to step on the field this is his only option. He would be a great match up in pass situations against linebackers due to his height and his speed on short passes, and on deeper routes it will be tough for a single DB to get him down. this isnt the first time an athletic qb has made the switch to te, look at how well Matt Jones has done with jacksonville (although i do realize he's an incredible athlete). His blocking skills will be tested but we don't have to have him in every run paly, and im sure that ryan will be working his hardest to be back in the starting lineup by the first game if he has any hopes of going to the league.
