I, for one, would just as soon they send the "Big Horses" to Lubbock and let them join the TT mascot....I just don't think ANYONE----especially ORSINI---should mess with Peruna or the Mustang Band...they have kept us going when nothing else could! Kind of reminds me of when Dave Smith was the coach and he took Peruna off of our helmets and we had boring, ugly solid ones!

I do not see how those two cowboys sitting on their horse at the SW corner of the field add ANYTHING to the game day atmosphere or how they are even relevant to who we are.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
