I will second that one. Have lived in Dallas, Austin, Boston, Albany, NY, Okla City, Raleigh-Durham, Columbia, SC and Charleston and Chucktown is tough to beat

Re: A new placeCharleston in the Kiawah Island area or north of Jacksonville in the Sea Island/jekyl island areas are your best bets. I would only recommend if the kids are gone and looking for an upscale area with plenty of golf, fishing, climate and close proximity to everything on the east coast.
