Better yet, hit Boog Powell's BBQ stand behind the right field wall at Camden Yards.

Only on game days though

What did you expect from a UNT grad?

I would expect and SMU grad could at least read: "I guess it may be the best in DFW but that isn't saying much..."

Give him a break. He's job hunting. Word is out they're looking for dishwashers at area eateries.

Sonny Bryan's has never recovered from the buyout. The junk they serve at these places are a disgrace to the SB name. You can still enjoy the original Oak Cliff (Jefferson Blvd.) Sonny Bryan recipe for terrific bar-b-que at David's on Park Row - just beyond the right field fence of UTA's baseball stadium. David is the only relative still smokin'.

I'll go try that...and to be clear: none of the Sonny Bryan's save of the one on Inwood (the original, with the school desks) is worth going to.

Gotta love that SMU hospitality.... Geeze, can't even talk BBQ without the jerks appearing. It's no wonder why the population of Dallas has embraced the ponies with that kind of attitude.

Man, this thread pretty much sums up how bad DFW BBQ really is. Places like Dickey's and Tx Land & Cattle getting mention.

If we're talking all of DFW, then Railhead and Angelos are the answer. If we're talking Dallas - buy a smoker.

I admit I enjoy Peggy Sues, becase its different and they have great onion rings. And like Sammy's (great sides, bad meat). But as far as actual barbequed brisket, ribs, pulled pork, etc go? i can't believe Dallas represents so bad.

Seriously. Its embarassing

There are some good tips here.. thanks all!

But... what happened to the... where to find good chili thread? There were some good tips but I didn't write them down. I just thought they would be here. Some of you who have been here longer than me might want to ask the mods why the thread about where to find good chili around here vanished. There was some great info posted there!
