Has anyone tried Backyard Burgers (on the east side of Central Expressway, just south of Forest)?

Backyard Burgers is about like Taco Cabana - fast food in a nicer building.

I was going to say something like Fredericksburg is a cool town but when you are hungry and need some brat fast you would turn it into something else and get the thread deleted

BTW, when in Fredericksburg, skip the German food and try The Nest. The chef settled there after stints in Manhattan, Aspen & other places - great stuff. Order the NZ rack of lamb in lieu of a burger.

You think so? I didn't think they were bad at all.
Maybe worth a more sophisticated analysis!

Kiki must be attracted to the building's exterior. Either that or the flour tortillas.

I'll try it when I get up there for Saturday's women's and men's basketball games!

Do they serve beer? Or is it soft drinks only?

I don't think they are bad. They are just not full restaurant quality. Like Taco C, better than fast food, not as good as a real restaurant.

Uh .... thanks for sharing?

And Humerdink's burgers will keep you from starving to death, but they're good for little else. Standard chain-sportsbar-wannabe food.

Stan's Blue Note serves up a good burger. Plus I can drink lots of beers there and walk home.
