Ate a burger once at a place called Cheeseburger in Paradise in Lahaina, Maui, but it wasn't all that memorable.

I hope to be eating better than a cheeseburger when I go to Maui =\

Heard about a place today called "Wingfield's" - never heard of it.

The report I got about their burger was "it will make you want to get fat, because you will want to have one every single day of your life."

That, to me, sounds like a pretty strong endorsement. Anyone been there? Where is it?

Didn't Wingfields win some big D-Magazine or Observer DFW burger tourney last year?

I have been there once and it lived up to the reviews. If you ever play golf at Cedar Crest golf course, Wingfields is not far.

btw - Wingfields beat Angry Dog in the finals of that D magazine deal.

We went to some friends for Thanksgiving, and they actually offered turkey burgers.

I would assume that the official burger crew has a bylaw disallowing turkey burgers for any consideration in the rankings, no?

For the record, I didn't try it. There was real turkey on the same table. Saw no reason for the turkey burgers.

I'm still full.

Made a repeat appearance at Snookie's and tried the kobe beef burger. Very impressive — not as juicy as the regular burger, but the pure flavor is exceptional. Very good stuff.
