Knuckle:

I will be in your city around May 23, 2007 for my daughter's graduation from NYU Dental School. Do you have any advance notice of anything you will be doing around that time? I would love to catch your show.

We don't book that far ahead, but meeting mrydel at a Knuckleheads show? Somebody pinch me. Perhaps we need to put together a benefit for the "Mrydel's daughter's NYU Dental School Tuition" fund.

Last night's show, hosted and produced by the Knuckleheads, was a collossal success by any standard. Over $4000 raised for the Elk Scholarship Fund, when you include bar sales. The fact that the Elks ran out of food, while disappointing, was not the Knuckleheads' responsibility. Click the link to see some photos and a "review" of what poor thats great raplh missed out on last night when he apparently missed the PATH train.

I think we would need to have about 100 of them to cover her student loans. I will contact you closer to the time and maybe something will work out so I can see a famous Knucklehead show.

bubba pony just complete the NY Marathon. 2 million spectators and 1000's of flags and signs from all over the world. time was 4:15 and I'm 56 years old. Not bad for an old pony. NY is the greatest city in the world. I love this city.

I am very impressed. I think I ran a 440 in 4:15 once. I too am 56 years old. If I were to run a marathon, I would have to break it down over the course of a month. I would miss too much work if I tried to do it all at one time. I guess Lance Armstrong beat you by a little but he says he will never do it again. Sounds like you enjoyed it. Good job.

Way to go, Bubba. I watched the whole marathon from my rooftop on 1st ave. and somehow missed you. Maybe it's because I don't know what you look like? Anyway, I'm 38 and there's no way in hell I could do that. Congrats.

A question for my NYC Mustang brothers. I am starting to preplan my trip to NYC in May and need a decent place to stay. I will be spending time at NYU so would like to be close. The school says they have reduced rates at Club Quarters Downtown. Can anyone give me a review of this facility? It says it is in the Wall Street area (Raplh?) and I think it is in walking distance to the school. Any thoughts or ideas. Of course my daughter can give me ideas also, but thought I would get Pony opinions also. Thanks

go to this site

http://www.kayak.com

NYC can be expensive, you could stay in Jersey City (once a crappy town but much improved) and take the PATH train for $1.50 to NYU. might cost about $200/night. Wall Street would be boring at night and not near NYU. The best and most expensive Hotels are near Central Park South. could be $300-$400 per night. How much are you willing to spend?
go to the above site and give me an idea of what your looking to spend.
the subway system in NYC is great and cheap $2.00 one way per trip or you can buy an unlimited pass for the day $7/day.
you might want to take in Chinatown on the weekend for Dim Sum. The World Trade Center, very sad but moving. of course Broadway. How about Patsy's restaurant, Frank Sinatra’s old hang out.

a NYC classic.

NYU is near the greenwich village. there is another great restaurant called Mary's Fish Camp where they sever New England Lobster Roll. near NYU. to die for if you never had this.

wife coming too? suspect 5th avenue for shopping?

let's find you a place first and we'll list a ton of great things to go in this great city.

I almost forgot. you MUST go to McSorley's old ale house, not far from NYU.
http://www.mcsorleysnewyork.com/

it was one of the last bars to allow women (1970) is an old real Irish Pub. they brew their own ale and porter (not beer). cheapest ale in the city. A waiting line to get in after work and weekends.

The closest nice hotels to NYU are probably the Gramercy Park Hotel, W Union Square, Gansevoort, Mercer Hotel and Soho Grand. Those can get pretty pricey, though.

You can typically get pretty good deals on places in the financial district.
