Is it just me missing something, or does the countdown to kickoff on the SMUMustangs.com sight have us scheduled to kickoff at 2:00am on Sunday September 4th?

Now this is funny. It is now 2:00pm on August 11 and the countdown clock says 23 days and 12 hours. That puts kickoff at 2:00am on Sunday September 4, 2005.
I don't think I can make this game. Maybe ESPN is having a morning football game televised that we don't know about yet.
Just send 'da money.

I sent an email to Shawn Heilbron in the SMU Athletic Office. They were not aware of it. They're now 'working on it'.

Yeah, you'd think. But that would be showing off.
Actually, this was just a clever plan to make Baylor show up at the wrong time.
Doesn't quite live up to the power outage in San Jose, the inferno behind the south end zone or the dance-off with The Leach and his boys, but it's a pretty funny start to the season.

Yup, Mr. Copeland is only a part time night owl AD for the Ponies. He is
actually working for the Cowboys in his day-dreaming most of the time
mind.

It's rumored that a fund raiser will be started to get enough money to pay for a countdown clock that will keep time!

We play the Aggies in our third game. These types of tricks are much more effective on them.

You got it!!
I just checked the baylorfans message board and their countdown clock is correct. That means we are going to arrive seven hours after kickoff.
