I finally convinced Mrs. mrydel to attend a game with me this year. She will come for Rice and Christmas shopping. I told her she needed an appropriate outfit and she selected a shirt from the new marketing catalog. The one she chose has the new slanted SMU logo. I expressed dismay and she said she liked it much better than the running pony. Got her shirt today and it has the running pony on it rather than the slanted logo. Checked the catalog again and the running pony is not offered on the shirt I ordered for her. I am delighted but I am sure she will not be (although she should). Do not know what this means. I doubt they have backed off of the new stuff but I just wonder why I got the running pony when it was not even an option.

Small article at the top of page 2 of todays Sports section of the DMN about the "controversy" over the logos.

Turns out Mrs. mrydel loved the running pony. She is even going to wear it to her job on casual Friday. It will not hurt that her boss is an SMU grad.

I see a job promotion on the horizon.

I think people might be surprised by how many businesses in the Central Arkansas area are run or have high ranking officers that are SMU grads. Have not found any from Baylor yet.
