All high school state championship teams should be required to pass a drug test for steroids before it's official.
If a player flunks the test, (tests positive for steroids), the title goes to the team they beat, provided that team can pass a steroids test. If neither team can pass, the championship goes in the books as "None-due to drug policy enforcement." Hey, the Olympics do it to protect the honor of the competition.
You, don't remember last year, the steroid snafu with Colleyville Heritage?
I forget how many other kids were involved, but I believe there was one unnamed kid at SLC implicated. Hey, if a little was uncovered, its wise to assume there could be more - sort of like termites. But the whole thing went away. Never pursued in the media. If the schools are clean, what wrong with testing?
also Hebron beat CC Calallen 28-0 so the DFW teams swept the Texas 5A-Division 1, 5A-Division II, 4A-Division I and 4A-Division II State Championships making DFW the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion of The World in High School Football.
Should we ask for another Tshirt?
AND....the 2A crown - CELINA won tonight for their 6th state championship in the last 10 years. They have 7 now, which I believe, ties them for the most in the state....
Go Bobcats!!! Celina is 40 mins up Preston road from SMU....let's go recruit a player or two...
Greg McElroy , a highly regarded high school quarterback out of Dallas Metroplex school Southlake-Carroll, were among those who visited Wednesday's practice for Alabama at SMU's Ford Stadium.
McElroy is committed to Texas Tech, but has made it clear that's not in stone. After Tim Tebow spurned the Tide earlier this month, it is thought that McElroy may be on Alabama's radar. http://www.ledger-enquirer.com/mld/ledg ... 504555.htm
