from the SMU web site:
SMU got a break from its summer routine Wednesday (July 5) when Fox’s drama series “Prison Break†did some filming on campus for the upcoming season.
The show features an engineer (Wentworth Miller) who installs himself in a prison he helped design so he can plan an escape for his brother (Dominic Purcell), a death-row inmate who insists he did not commit the crime for which he has been sentenced. The first season ended with the escape and five of the inmates on the run.
For its second season, “Prison Break†moved production from a prison in Joliet, Ill. to Dallas to show various locations where the characters are on the run from authorities.
SMU was transformed into St. Louis Tech as one of the inmates passed through campus, trying to remain undetected and catch a ride to another location. In addition, the Texana Room of DeGolyer Library became a hearing room for authorities, including Prison Warden Henry Pope (Stacy Keach).
Fox begins the show's new season on August 21 at 8/7c.
