Check out baylorbears.com for a sample of their 2006 football promotional campaign. Supposedly, it is part of a comprehensive multi-media campaign to promote the Bears' 2006 season. All commercials were shot on location at a Dallas park. The one you can watch at this site is pretty "catchy".

Baylor has to come to Dallas to find a park nice enough to film their commercials. That shows you how nice Waco really is.

They couldn't shoot it at Cameron Park in Waco. Too many gangs hanging out there now. :(

The promo article says it was shot at Boulder Park in Dallas. A quick check of Mapsco shows its address to be: 3200 West Redbird Lane in Dallas, zip code 75237.

from Yahoo: Maintained by the Dallas Off-Road Bicycle Association, this park is conveniently located near I-20 and Highway 67. Hosting approximately 6 miles of bike trails, Boulder Park offers the perfect ride for everyone. There are sections for beginners and others for advanced riders. Most of the trails have been created for bike use, but there is a soft-surface hiking trail for nature lovers. Here you'll find open sections, wooded areas, rocks and water. This is truly fun for the entire family.

Admission is free.

Too many gangs in Waco?? Well, at least they wised up and picked the peaceful surroundings of the Red Bird area of South Dallas for the commercial.

Anyone else think that the commericial was pitched as a joke but Baylor just didn't get it?
