Easy - Denton. It is close enough to just drive into Dallas. The others are just islands of suck in a vast ocean of nothing.

I'm assuming it only means Denton County, and not the actual city, and I already live there...

You need to add "NONE" as the fourth option in that poll.

It's not a hard choice...

Hell - 5 hours from Heaven
Hell - 1.5 hours from Heaven
Hell - 0.75 hours from Heaven

I would prefer to be as close to heaven as possible.

I'd choose Waco, half-way between Austin and Dallas. Lubbock is half-way between Ft. Worth and hell. Denton is where you stop when the burger you ate in Norman starts talking.

Lubbock (no) - Friendly people and a nice place to raise your kids. But it's isolated from everyone else and once the Oglalla (sp) aquafir (also sp) dries up, so does the twon.

Waco (no)- Halfway between Dallas and Austin but too far away from both. Which means you'll be spending most of your time in Waco (ugh).

Denton (yes)- It's practically a suburb of Dallas anyway. And a cheap on at that.

You hit the nail on the head: the only positive to Waco is that it is 100 miles to Austin one way and 100 miles to Dallas the other. (I spent three years in law school in Waco and put a lot of miles on my car)
