SMU breaks into the Longhorn market

Burger House just opened up in Austin and has the same burgers and fries as in Dallas but they also have SMU pictures and while I was there 4 SMU coeds were eating.

By the way, I laugh at all the Longhorn gear people wear in and there are SMU signs everywhere

They think it is Southwestern Missouri University - I swear I heard that in Waco at the Whataburger from the cashier when I was wearing a SMU sweatshirt

There are alot of people in Dallas who don't know where it is either.

Just went to Burger House and now there is Longhorn crap everywhere and the workers wear orange Burger House shirts

My parents are Longhorns...and they know what SMU is and where it's located! I will admit that that is highly out of the ordinary for those that are attending/attended that orange school that thinks of itself as "Harvard on the Colorado."

Don't worry about the orange shirts. If the Austin Burger House is anything like "ours" on Hillcrest it won't last long. They make lousy burgers but people eat there out of habit/tradition. A mediocre/crummy burger joint won't fly in Austin. I will admit they USED TO BE very good. Ball's USED TO BE good, too. Transfer me "Burger Wars" if this post is out of line.

Burger House has been around since the 50's. And their good food has too.
