Nebraska-Omaha names former SMU official AD

OMAHA, Neb. – Former SMU associate athletic director David Miller was named athletic director at Nebraska-Omaha.

Miller will start at the Division II school May 24, Chancellor John Christensen said Thursday.

Miller replaces David Herbster, who resigned last year.

"The university has an excellent reputation for athletics and academics," said Miller, who came to SMU in 2000 and resigned Jan. 1. "Being given the opportunity to lead a program like this is a wonderful and rare challenge."
