Does any one know what has happen to her?
This is a SMU Associate Professor of Law. She is the law professor that, in December 2002, struck two SMU second-year law students as they crossed Hillcrest Avenue near the university campus. She then followed that act up by using her Volkswagen Passat to strike and then drag attorney Tommy Thomas while he was cycling in May 2004. She was convicted for hitting Thomas but her conviction was overturned by an Appeals Court.

Checked the SMU site and she is still listed as a faculty member. I need to find out what kind of car she drives so I can stay away.

I think she has long since left. She hasn't taught a course at the law school since I started in 2005. She was the inspiration for several fact patterns on an exam though.
The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

Any clue what happen to her case? Last I had read was the prosecution was going to appeal. If that doesn't happen, will she be tried again? I am not a lawyer so I am not aware of what is possible.

That would explain why we haven't seen a comment from either one yet.

I am not into criminal law. Only the really good bank robbers actually pay their bills.

Although SMU has plenty of my money, I doubt they give very much of it to Jane Dolkart these days.
