Moving to Denver

Do we have any Denverites on this board or maybe some who have lived there for a time? I'm looking for tips or experiences please

My mom lives there. I've gone to visit a few times. I like the Coors Brewery not too far away in Golden. Many people don't know that they brew Killian's Irish Red, Blue Moon, and Zima.

5% state income tax. Thumbs down. Really nice interactive zoo if you have kids. Thumbs up. Best means by which to get to Dallas for an SMU game is Frontier...again if you have kids, they can watch NickJr or Cartoon Network the whole flight. Thumbs up. Waayyy too long of a drive from pretty much anywhere in town to the airport. Thumbs down.

Outside activities an hour + south in Colorado Springs are fantastic in the summer time.

Frontier is amazing. Only $215 from Tampa to Denver nonstop almost anytime + all the goodies.

I predict you'll be buying a whole new wardrobe. Orlando to Denver is quite a change in climate.

Never lived in the Mile High City but love visiting Colorado.

I lived in Denver for many years, for me to give you my opinion i would need to know what you are looking for! Personally, i lived in the Bel caro area which is adjacent to Cherry Creek. The washington Park area is a younger area and the park is a great area with two lakes!

Boulder is an option just about 25 minutes north

cherry Hills to the south may be option

Red Rocks best concert venue

Lodo has really come alive especially Larimer Street which was popular in Kereocak's "On the road"

We are looking for a place to rent somehwat cheaply for the time being, until we can get our footing. Something like a 2BR house for $1100-$1300/month. It would be me, my fiancee and a close friend of ours so it would actually split nicely.

I know Cherry Creek is nice.. we love to bike, and I'd be working mostly in South Denver, and I'd like to be able to bike to work. What about somewhere near Cheesman Park? We are very outdoorsy people and we're also very liberal, but Boulder is out of our price range

I used to consider Frontier a notch above flapping my arms...until I flew the airline. Best airline I've been on as far back as I can remember. That alone might make living in Denver tolerable.
