New bar - Capitol Pub

next to the old Jerry's on Henderson. good bar. have hangover today.
"New bar alert: Capitol Pub
Capitol Pub opened last week at Henderson and Belmont. It’s the newest addition from the folks who own The Old Monk, Idle Rich and Tecole. (I could make some sort of Dallas bar-scene monopoly joke here, but I won’t.)
A friend who’s been said the place is sunnier and more open than the ‘Monk and the ‘Rich. The room is basically one big rectangle, and there are a lot of windows.
On tap are lot of upscale English, Belgian and Canadian (!) beers, plus whiskeys and the usual American brews. The menu’s supposed to be great, too  yummy French toast and corned beef hash for brunch (they’ve got brunch on Saturday and Sunday), AND… fried blue cheese-stuffed olives. I just read the entire menu on the website and I want to go right now. Maybe I can convince a certain husband to eat dinner with me there later.
As for the parking situation, my friend says there’s a parking lot behind bar. And apparently you can use the Jerry’s lot until all the retail crap moves in."
