The Chevy Suburban may be the unofficial family vehicle of the Park Cities, but when you see a large group of black ones gathered in one spot, there's a good chance there are guns inside and a member of the Bush family is somewhere close by.
That was the case last weekend when five Secret Service Suburbans pulled up at Sevy's Grill in Preston Center and a small cadre of agents with earplugs scrambled out and secured the restaurant.
First lady Laura Bush walked in with her 88-year-old mother, Jenna Welch, for a relaxing lunch.
"I must say, it was exciting for them to visit," says chef-owner Jim "Sevy" Severson. "We called it the 'Thrill of the Grill.' "
