SMU Awarded an 'A' by Reader's Digest

Reader's Digest, that renowned condenser of all the popular literature that's fit to print (and otherwise), has awarded Southern Methodist University an "A" for campus safety preparedness.
Ranking the institution as the 16th safest college in the U.S. (and the safest private university in Texas), the respected publishing juggernaut (whose expertise in the field of campus security is conceded by no one) factored such variables as dorm room sprinkler systems, 24-hour security and emergency planning into their determination, published somewhat clunkily in .pdf format here.
Unsurprisingly given its cloistered University Park location, SMU ranked in the "lower" category for reported crime rates.
