We are quitting nicotine products on Monday. How long will we make it?

I hope it's permanent, but since that's not a choice I assume you are embarking on this project without the proper goal.

Good Luck you guys; I hope you have a plan. I suggest Rx CHANTIX. If you have been a long term smoker? It will be very hard but once you have succeeded, you will realize that you can do anything. Good Luck and drink a lot of water. I am pulling for you.

Isn't that the stuff that made that musician psychotic that tried to kick in his neighbor's door and got shot dead?? Admittedly, that's a side effect that would hardly be noticed to most who post here, but still cause for consideration.

Actually.... we are quitting tobacco products... as we will be chewing the nicotine gum... but the question remains the same.

('94 you might want to edit your post to reflect this.)

My goal for not smoking is like the two little girls in The Shining, "Come and play with us, come and play with us. Forever, and ever, and ever."

EDIT: Web dudes, also move this over to 'Around the Hilltop', please. Sincerely, the Thadagement.

It's the jt plan...no expectations, but pleasantly surprised if successful. :D

You can do it cold turkey!
When you are there you will feel so sorry for the people around you who continue to smoke, even though you know how easy it would be to get back on a high consumption habit.
GOOD LUCK.

I like it PK!

But still, if I can go a whole month without any tobacco it will be permanent. I've never made it a month without a cigarette since I started. Sure, I've been 'quit' a number of times, and a couple times for as long as 3 months - but never in that time, have I gone so much as more than a week without a single smoke (I always end up at a bar bumming a smoke).

Preferably not the same one.... because that would be weird.
