I don't know what's more pathetic....the fact the guy was drunk that early on a Friday...or he was able to drive his entire care through a wall. What a moron. I hope the girl comes out of this ok.

and if you have been following the story at all, the ironic thing is the same thing happened to the building last year (but no one was hurt). actually i'm amazed with how often people drove into buildings when i lived on McFarlin.... or this accident on mcfarlin...

The only charge against the guy was "drinking while intoxicated"? I'd think driving while intoxicated would make more sense, but I'm just an unfrozen caveman lawyer.

Intoxicated Assault? Did he intend to drive the Yukon through the building? Was there some prior relationship between these two? Here in beautiful Alexandria Virginia, we have a statue commemorating the Confederate War dead in the middle of the main street. Rumor has it that Sonny Jurgensen ran into the statute while mildly intoxicated and hit is with such force that it spun the poor soldier to face north. Later, a drunken truck driver hit the statue and knocked him off his pedestal. The City at that point wanted to move him, but the Daughters of the Confederacy pointed out that he was required to be there by proclamation of the State and he had to be put back. The point of this story is that you really shouldn't drive drunk.

What's really ironic is that BA was probably with those guys at some point during the '05 accident as well...
