Alcohol Education Program at SMU Gets NCAA Grant

Southern Methodist University’s program, Mustang Winning CHOICES, has been awarded a $30,000 grant from the NCAA.
The program aims to reduce high-risk drinking behaviors, encourage responsible decision-making, and teach students skills to help peers make better choices.
The grant will allow for the expansion of alcohol education and increased outreach to athletes as well as the broader student body.
A private university located in the heart of Dallas, SMU is building on the vision of its founders, who imagined a distinguished center for learning emerging from the spirit of the city. Today, 11,000 students benefit from the national opportunities and international reach afforded by the quality of SMU’s seven degree-granting schools.
