I'm glad somebody did this.... I can't believe they have a quote from the police in the article. Really, I can understand not drawing a line, but this is just some ridiculous fun.

I'd like to do it some day.

Nah, he's to big time to get a quote out of... that kooky tantra guy Gordon Sumner, he was born in the 50's you know? But it is surprising that they [The Daily Mail] couldn't have squeezed a quote out of Stewart Copeland or Andy Summers, what are they doing with their lives that's so great?

....

Box sets suck. Granted I am glad that I own the Police box set (cheekily titled "Message in a Box"), but how the heck did I, one day in high school, go from, "yeah, I like the Police, I don't own a single album, sure" to "I'm gonna' buy EVERYTHING they ever recorded"? Seriously, I would have been better off with a greatest hits CD... granted I did have a greatest hits dubbed tape as a kid, but you know. It is fun, though, to have some of their completely unknown tracks, like "Be my girl - Sally"....

I needed inspiration,
A brand new start in life,
Somewhere to place affection,
But I didn't want a wife
