OT: Thoughts and prayers...

...for one of the most remarkable people you've never met, if you never been around her. Whether you're a methodist or not, if you've ever been around Perkins grad Rev. Kathleen Baskin-Ball, you know there is no one like her. Apologies to those who may feel this is inappropriate. However, she has tutored many with SMU ties.
In January 2007, Rev Baskin-Ball was diagnosed with cancer. For nearly two years of painful chemo and different medications, she never missed a Sunday of preaching. She never missed calls to serve outside her own church in Allen.
Today we got an email discussing how the cancer has advanced, and that she will now be at home to use what time she has left to say goodbye. She is married to a good man and they have a five year old son. If you are a believer/user of prayer, those folks could sure use it.
