Quick questions for the attorneys

With the end of another president’s administration, we might see a flood of presidential pardons.

My question is, are presidential pardons limited to federal crimes or can a pardon be for a state crime as well?

im not a lawyer but i believe it only applies to federal crimes

President can only pardon federal crimes. Governor can pardon state crimes.

Talk to Clinton. He was both in Arkansas. He probably still has enough pull to pardon you here.

There's a story on ESPN about the New York Giants' kicker (Tynes) lobbying Dubbya for a last-minute pardon for his brother, who's in the big house in Arkansas for running drugs.
