Richard Quick

For those who do not know Richard Quick, he was a 3 year multi event All-America swimmer who captained SMU in 1964/65 under legendary Hall of Fame coaches A.R."Red" Barr and George McMillion. Rich later coached at Iowa State and SMU before leading the Texas and Stanford women's swim teams to 14 NCAA championships. He is a 3 time Olympic women's head coach and 3 time assistant Olympic coach, head coach for numerous International championships including 4 World Championship teams, member of the Swim Coaches Hall of Fame and SMU Distinguished Alumni. Rich coached more than 60 Olympic gold medalists, more than 130 Olympic medalists and multitudes of NCAA All-America swimmers. Rich was lured out of retirement last year and is currently head coach at Auburn.
Rich has recently been diagnosed with glioblastoma multi form stage IV which is an agressive form of brain tumor.
