Red Letter Day

Postby PonyLaw_aTm » Mon Apr 06, 2009 4:29 pm

To say Im not much of a pro baseball fan would be an overstatement, but there are only so many times in your life you can proclaim that the Rangers are undefeated.

Congrats, Rangers.

# Woman with beer can in hand starts brawl at wake AP - 12 minutes ago

MAGNOLIA, Ark. - Sheriff's deputies said a Texas woman started a brawl at a wake in Arkansas when she arrived with a beer can in her hand. The woman, 52, faces a third-degree domestic battery charges, as does another woman, 46, over the March 29 fight. Deputies said the first woman arrived at the Christies Chapel Church with a beer can in hand and that she refused to leave.

Everyone in Arkansas knows you only bring bottled beer to a wake. We try to show respect for the dead.

Not all Aggies end up in Arkansas. Apparently, this one ended up in Florida.

Beer sales banned for Tigers-Blue Jays game
were banned at the Tigers-Blue Jays game Tuesday night, a day after their season opener was delayed when unruly fans littered the field with baseballs and debris.

The clubhouses were cleared of booze, too, after the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario suspended the liquor license at Rogers Centre for three dates because of past infractions.

The panel cited five broken rules at baseball and football games and concerts dating to the Canadian Football League championship game in 2007. The stadium will also be dry on April 21 when Toronto plays Texas, and for a CFL game on Aug. 1.

LOS ANGELES — A friend of adult film star Marilyn Chambers says the actress has been found dead at her home in northern Los Angeles County.

Peggy McGinn says the 56-year-old Chambers was found by her 17-year-old daughter Sunday night and the cause of death has not been determined.

Chambers starred in the 1972 film "Behind the Green Door," which was more widely distributed and attracted a more mainstream audience than the usual adult fare.

Chambers, whose given name was Marilyn Briggs, was once a model for Ivory Snow. She was among the first porn superstars when the stag films of the 1940s through 1960s gave way to the more polished sex films of the 1970s.
