Word around the Park Cities this morning is that University Park and Southern Methodist University have reached an accord on the long-pending sale of Potomac Park.
SMU has been trying to complete the multimillion dollar sale since UP voters approved the sale of the park in 2007. But the two sides have not been able to agree on a sale price until now.
Potomac Park is a three-quarter-acre tract behind Park Cities Plaza on Mockingbird Lane.

Beyond the library, at one point SMU wanted to own all the land between campus and 75 for future development purposes. Even without the library I think we wanted it.

94 - This land will be used for an eventual new residence hall with retail on the first floor, according to Dr. Turner. The retail will include the bookstore and La Madeleine (if they choose to lease, that is).
abezontar - that is still SMU's goal.
