Need some advice from those that know. What is the best (or one of the better) boot barn or C&W store within a reasonable distance of SMU?

Cavender's Boot City on LBJ Fwy. near Preston Road isn't bad.

No I'm a Well Known Hetrosexual-but I bet you'd love one of those western Duster coats that all your UH buddies wear.

If you are after the best in boots, go across Hillcrest from the campus to Culwell and Son where they carry Lucchese. They can custom order for you. I think they also have inventory in stock. Good luck

I agree, Lucchese are very good. I had several pairs. If you can find them buy full quill osterich. They will last forever and they have a really nice patina. Now if you are really particular you can go to San Antonio and visit their store. They will custom fit your boots for you and they will be perfect.

GO PONIES!!!

Thanks all. I have two pair of Lucchese boots and one is full quill. I was looking to expand that collection. Also I have a C & W party coming up and wanted to look a bit more Texaican country.

Tony Lama boots have served me well. Since Western Warehouse has closed it looks like I'm going to have to find a new source when the time comes.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

I just bought a pair of Mahan Ostrich boots this weekend from that Cavendar's on LBJ. My little brother scored some Lucchese's. The service there is impeccable. Ask for Shep. Great selection, variety, knowledgeable salespeople, the works.
