see CBS for New England fans-heavy snow and the stands are full. We lost half our crowd due to a cool breeze.

Everyone around me was complaining about the temperature/wind chill during the 4th quarter. As a warm-natured person, I was quite comfortable.

I couldn't believe the number of fans who left last night at halftime when we were up two touchdowns on a good Navy team. Everyone who left should be ashamed.

Another example of "good fans": the Navy fans. I met several on the Boulevard and in the stadium, and they were first-class, all the way.

Of course, they're trained to stay for the whole game. While they're at the academy, unless they are confined to quarters, they have to be at the game for the whole game or they're in a heap of trouble.

That said, I have only left two SMU games early. Last years Navy game when it was 30-0 and the rain got worse. And the OSU game several years ago, when the guy scored 7 TD's on us. Other than that, I stay to the bitter end, no matter how bitter. But then again, I was raised a Redskins fan. Has there ever been a team in its first six games to play six teams without a win at that point and lose to four of them? Now I ended up getting tickets to Monday night's game with the Eagles. I have to drive to FedEx Field. That means I have to watch that game sober.

My seats are in 104 and I did not notice a large amount of attrition. Several families with very young children left in the 4th quarter. But we still had a very vocal group of fans to the bitter end. I confess I left last years Navy game at the half. I was there with two young granddaughters, it was raining hard with gale force winds and the team had demonstrated it had no chance against a much superior Navy team. In retrospect, it was a good decision.

I suggest you might want to go to an optometrist-because 204 was one of the biggest areas of Fans leaving.

Of course, since he said he was in 104 not 204 you might be the one who wants to head to the optometrist.
