Mustanglockerroom.com did shirts, caps, and the replica jerseys, with players names and numbers, for the families of football players last year. The relationship was established through the football office.

Good luck, but I doubt another stadium store would survive very long. There's not enough traffic on game days, much less the other 359 days of the year.

The SMU Bookstore on Mockingbird now has a much better selection of SMU gear than it's ever had, and it's easily accessible. Overpriced, for sure, but no higher than a typical stadium shop.

My question is: Where is the Bookstore going to move when they start demo'ing for the Bush Library?

Gee, I miss the Varsity Bookstore.

They aren't going to demolish the shopping center where the bookstore is for the Bush Library. However, that area will be converted to student housing within the next 5-10 years. I have heard that the plan is to have shops on the first floor and student housing above.

Concept works really well at some downtown Chicago campus housing...I like the idea...

Thought the plan was for a multi-story parking garage on the north side of Mockingbird (current bookstore, etc.) and student housing/urban retail center/bookstore/Starbucks on Mrs. Baird's, et al (south Mockingird) site.

Not unless the plan has changed in the last year. The Mrs. Baird's site will be student housing/urban retail situated around a quad as well as a a parking garage, while the bookstore, CVS, and other shops will be underneath student housing on the north side of Mockingbird. They also are studying the possibility of putting a bridge across Mockingbird for pedestrians to cross safely.
