TCU will raise annual tuition to $30,000

Bad news for students at TCU: Tuition is going up 6.2 percent for full-time undergraduates. That'll raise the cost to $30,000 for the 2010-11 school year.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that about 76 percent of TCU's 7,640 undergraduates get financial aid. Officials say some financial aid increases may ease the jump in tuition.

Other private schools in Texas, including SMU, haven't set their tuition yet for 2010-11.
