SMU tuition for 2010-2011

If your curious, just got the Dear Parent letter

tuition increase 5.9 percent to $37,230
housing increase 2.0 percent to $ 8,170
board increase 3.0 percent to $ 4,565

total $49,965 the average increase over last year's total is 5%

..hard to justify that...sorry.....wow!! I am paying $25,000 / yr (tuition / room / board / sorority) to send my daughter to an "upper level" SEC school...

we paid $24k/yr putting ours through Clemson. Now I realize what a bargain that was. Didn't seem like it at the time.

That increase isn't too horrible in the grand scheme of things, I guess.

A lot, although I think the stat they throw around is that "50+%" of the students receive some form of financial aid. I think they include $1k scholarships, which are drops in the ocean

i've always heard the number was closer to 80%. but like you said, that includes people like me who got a $300/year scholarship from my church. covered a book and a half.
