Posted: Fri Apr 23, 2010 7:28 amor know-it-alls, I've got a question for you. I was at a concert last night in Deep Ellum and I parked in a dirt lot. When I came out my car had a ticket on it issued by the City of Dallas. I checked DCAD this morning and sure enough it is owned by, SMU's own, the company Chuck Hixson works for Westdale.
My question is, can the city issue a parking ticket on private property? I am going to drive by and double check today, but I was pretty sure the dirt lot wasn't marked and there was no attempt to fence in or block access. Any help is appreciated.
