Concern? It's always lots more fun to have two bands in the stadium. Having some musical competition in the stands will only raise the level of effort on the SMU band's part to keep the crowd going. Bring it on!

It's just called having a competitive atmosphere at the game which SMU could use a little more of at Ford Stadium.

It's called sarcasm....Making fun of their adopted fight song. The M Band has nothing to fear from the Tulsa types.

Plus is will help to fill the stands. With so many other diversions this weekend we could use all the people available to look good on TV.

Why would any self-respecting PonyFan know — or care — whether another school's fight song is adopted?
And does any band really cause "fear" in its opponents?
BEAT TULSA

Well, after it was all said and done tonight, there really wasn't that much of a competition at all. SMU's band stomped the livin' daylights out of the Tulsa band on all counts. They did OK at halftime, but their lines were sloppy and movement not all that fluid. And the self-proclaimed "Sound"? Well, it was rather tepid. I expected more sound out of "The Sound". SMU was half the size - with twice the sound and three times the music and fun.
Love that 4th quarter tradition the Mustang Band has going with the student section. For want of a better description - I call it the Drum Section Shuffle-WOO! Wish the other side of the field would get into it, too.
