Bookstore looks pretty good after remodel. Seems to have more merchandise, but maybe it's just b/c it's moved around. 25% off some items in the back.

A few of the Gameday cloth retro shirts available as well.

As has been discussed here before, that shopping center will stay put. The development is going to be done behind it. In a few years, though, there is a plan to create a mixed use development on the site: the current retail + a residence hall directly on top of it.

ahh, i thought that they were going to level it to make it a 3 story complex w/ retail on the 1st floor and apt style housing for upper-classmen above.

I think that was the original plan but last time I talked to Turner he said that they were moving forward with the residential village on the Potomac/Airline/Dublin tract first then may "build up" on the shopping center later. Take it for what it's worth.

Also, they are going to brick in the street behind Fincher in 5-10 years. There will also be a large fountain installed between Blanton and Fincher. That's what I've got for now.

Black jerseys #48 are there too.

the Adidas black button down short sleeve that June likes to wear is only $15.00.

The fountain's going up right now. Turner's legacy...if a fountain can't fix it, what can?

if they wanted to sell jerseys, they should do like every other school in america and have identical replicas, and at a minimum sell 2, 48, 17, 92, 32 and 19. They'd sell an a$$load.

Then again maybe they're opposed to increasing their sales volume.

#48 and #2 is a start, let's hope they continue the trend. used to just be #11 which was bogus.

I think the merchandise is indeed more spread out, but I also think they brought more in as well. Looks great, imo.

A "residential village" around the bookmobile? WTF? Are they putting dorms over there or something?

Anyway, it can't be that difficult to realize that selling the classic Dickerson-era blue jerseys would be a goldmine (and I love RGV's idea of the numbers of the all-time greats — hell, I might buy one of each).

If Steve-O ever allows a marketing department to exist, I hope they adopt the idea.

FWIW, current campus master plan:

Note the residential village behind the bookstore but the bookstore strip itself is just designated "SMU Commercial."

Also note the "proposed construction" at the current Perkins Natatorium site.
