For all you younguns this was a really big TV series in the 70's. I never watched it, but I think the girl character in the show went to SMU?

I think the little blonde did. Charlene Tilton or something similar. I did not watch it either although I did catch a couple of episodes in the first year reruns after hearing everyone talking about it.

They had several scenes of her character coming out of classes in McFarlin Auditorium.

They were on campus last week shooting scenes in front of Dallas Hall.
And if SMU sneaks into the finalized opening credits of the new version, that is f-ing awesome.
The gold buildings (Campbell Centre), the Hyatt/Reunion Tower and other local sites all became familiar because of their few seconds each week during the credits in the 80s.

When does the series start on TV?

I was in London the summer of "Who Shot JR", when people learned I was from Texas all they wanted to talk about was the show "Dallas". It was pretty close to a global thing when the show first came out in the 70's.
