What is up with all the threads being deleted lately

I can understand a poster using bad language, threats or something along those lines, but in the past it seemed the poster response was deleted. Now whole threads being deleted, what gives?

That is the thread that I based my question on. None of the comments seemed to out of line. I mean, it was nothing worse than has been posted before. I guess TB was an athletic department troll and they had seen enough.

Actually, some of the later comments got very out of line.

As for why some threads get nuked instead of individual posts, we operate this site for free in addition to full-time jobs. If there is a single post that needs to go, it does. If there is a thread with multiple posts that are inappropriate, or if there are posts like to spawn more and more inappropriate comments, the entire thread goes.

You often reiterate the fact that you operate the site for free and you have full-time obligations. This is a labor of love. I get it. We all get it. But that's not some invincible shield to hide behind when criticism comes your way.

As if people would pay to access this site anyway.

Obviously we are all entitled to our own opinions - but I prefer getting practice reports every spring, summer, and now during bowl practices from somebody who actually goes to every practice - at no cost - over relying on somebody like Laken who doesn't even go to practices and having to pay for it - but that's just me.
