First thing, congrats to Mr. Ford, the man obviously knows his craft.

This is also good for SMU if he continues his ample generosity from past years.

Good for him. I have met him a couple of times, and even if he hadn't given so generously to SMU, I'd like him. He seems like an exceptionally nice man, and it's nice to see good things happen to good people.

Agreed. Good for him and hopefully he does continue his generosity to SMU. It would have been nice had the journal mentioned SMU as well but typical journalists don't mention anything that isn't Harvard.

Excellent news for a man who has been very generous for SMU. It goes to show that SMU is a tremendous place to study - we have so many successful alumni. Perhaps Mr. Ford will give some of that money to start baseball and lacrosse programs - perhaps not, the choice is his to make...but it would be really nice if he did

It would be GREAT if he did, I absolutely love watching baseball and enjoy watch LAX and it'd be awesome if my favorite team started programs for the 2 sports.
An SMU fan from the other D.
