Four Years Later.

Postby HB Pony Dad » Mon May 14, 2012 9:45 am

I find it hard to believe that my first post as a PonyFan was almost four years ago

HB Pony Dad wrote:My first post here as a Pony Fan.

My Daughter will be an incoming Freshman and I have started following SMU Football with interest lately.

I believe that June Jones will create a winning environment at SMU again.

As a USC Grad I suffered through many years of mediocre teams, and until Pete Carroll arrived, USC was not the NC contender of today.

I look forward to following SMU as it restores its winning tradition under JJ.

I look forward to the time when SMU can contend with and play against USC, UCLA, Texas, A&M, Auburn, Alabama, or any other Top 25 school.

No one could have predicted all the "miracles and wonders" we have witnessed for SMU and their athletics in such a brief period of time.

HB Pony Daughter graduated Saturday and I am a very proud papa!

Two Degrees with three additional minors.

Summa Cum Laude, Beta Gamma Sigma, Phi Beta Kappa!

I'm very proud of her and glad she chose Southern Methodist University!

You have a right to be a proud papa and congratulations to your daughter.
Her graduation does not mean your have to leave the board. I have enjoyed your input.

She is much too smart to be your daughter. Better have a DNA check. Congratulations anyway.

Congratulations. Your first post was totally prescient and your daughter obviously inherited her Dad's high IQ.

Congratulations to your daughter...very impressive. I know your college allegiance is elsewhere, but hope you continue to join us here in the future, as your posts are always a good read and its interesting to get your perspective on things. Wish only good things for you and your daughter.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Roy, aka HB Pony Dad,

I am very happy for you and your daughter. It has been a pleasure to watch games at the Marina Pub. I hope when in LA, I may do that again. May we continue to cheer on our teams, started by the methodists!!
