After just 74 days on the job, Geoffrey Orsak was fired as president at Tulsa. Very hush hush. Tulsa said leave of absence to tend to his sick father Tuesday but then came back on Wednesday with a two line press release announcing that he was relieved of his duties and stating who would be acting prez.
http://www.tulsaworld.com/news/article. ... 048&r=9079Tulsa thread on the issue implies that it was something that should have been caught during vetting, so apparently pre-dates his time there. So what happened and where? SMU? George Mason? Rice?

why would people here be concerned about him? i thought when people left SMU for better opportunities (i.e., Padron, BLM), they were labelled as quitters and everyone thinks we shouldn't even discuss them?

What is it with former SMU Lyle Deans not lasting long at Presidencies? He succeeded Orsak as Lyle Dean and gave us a good 10 Years.
Marc P. Christensen, who had been the president of the University since 2022, resigned this month for personal reasons. The Clarkson community thanks him for his stewardship of the University and wishes him well in his future endeavors.
