SAAC Question

During halftime last night when they introduced (and mispronounced) the SAAC executives, they mentioned the board was made up of two representatives from each of SMU's 17 sports.

As we discussed previously, SMU really only has 16 sports but they count track and field twice since they compete for two championships (indoor and outdoor).

So, does that mean track and field has four members of the SAAC board, and if so, is that fair?

I found the answer to my question:

Track and Field and Cross Country are unfairly combined by SAAC, but they actually have three representatives. Also, women's tennis only has one representative.

Hopefully, these sports don't get the short end of any decisions.

The SAAC deals with issues that concern the wellfare of the student-athlete not any resource allocation, so it really doesn't matter as long as the representatives care about fellow student athletes. I was SMU's WAC SAAC representative my junior and senior years so feel free to ask any questions.
