I grew up listening to Galloway as much of DFW did as well. So many funny times hearing him on the air and in person at football games, Lone Star Park, big events, ect...Galloway's last show is today on ESPN Dallas radio.
What's your favorite Galloway moments of the past?
Go Ponies~

Never liked Galloway in print or on the air. His sense of humor on the radio bugs the hell out of me. His perpetual inability to stray from his agenda talking points is a pain in the [deleted].
His JD bashing where Nolan Ryan gets credit for every decision that works and JD gets complete blame for everything that doesn't is too much.
Galloway protects anyone that will have a beer with him. He protected Palmeiro. He protected Valentine. He protected Don Nelson. The last may be the worse because he helped the media overlook the fact that head coach Don Nelson would skip practice to play golf.
Glad he is off the air and looking forward to his increasing irrelevance.

And nothing of value will be lost. How could anyone ever listen to Galloway? Every single person in the universe had a stupid nickname that only he used, which made it impossible to know what he was talking about.

I've ran into him several time at industry functions over the years and he's a nice guy but what you say about the nicknames is spot on. Made his show a hard listen.

Always enjoyed listening and reading his articles. Disagreed many times but he is the last of an era of sports writers. Blackie Sherrod, Frank Luksa, Bob St John, Dan Jennings and so on. Today most of the sports writers are cookie cutter with little personality
